The Punting Ace Kelly Criterion Calculator

The PuntingAce kelly calculator calculates the correct amount to bet based upon the Kelly Criterion. For an article detailing the Kelly Criterion staking method, click here.

The PuntingAce kelly calculator allows you to enter either your assessed odds, or your assessed probability, the available odds and it will calculate the correct stake for up to six selections at a time.

1. Setting up the PuntingAce kelly calculator.

To setup the kelly calculator, please select whether you wish to enter the rated prices or the rated probabilities. This is done by clicking on the appropriate selection at the top left of the screen, as indicated by the red number 1.

2. Entering your bank and kelly fraction.

After selecting rated prices or probabilities, enter your desired bank and kelly fraction, as indicated by the red number 2.

3 & 4. Calculating a kelly stake

In the left hand column, enter your rated price (or probability), and in the right hand column, enter the available odds on offer. These are shown above with the red number 3 and the red number 4. When entering the probability, enter a 50% probability as 50 rather than 0.5.

5. The kelly stake

Once you have entered your rated price and available odds, the PuntingAce kelly calculator will calculate the size of the overlay and the correct stake. These can be read on the right hand side of the screen as indicated by the red number 5.

Reset - The reset button clears all data from selections two to five, and resets selection 1 to 2.50 / 3.50.
