England v West Indies – 2nd ODI

Though West Indies were soundly beaten in the 1st ODI it’s not the time to go soft on them. It’s hard to say whether England bowled well or the KFC’s batted badly in the first match of the series – more than likely it was a combination of the two. It does seem sometimes that Chris Gayle’s men are more comfortable chasing 300+ than they are chasing smallish totals and in reality, though the pitch wasn’t the easiest, they should have batted far better than they did and won that match. That’s all history though so we’ll give them a chance tonight to make amends. They are still too short at $1.57 so we will lay them again there. It is only right to respect a decent performance from England, with the ball at least, so I would shorten them a touch – therefore making West Indies slightly less value. We’ll lay three points at $1.55-$1.57 but don’t go any higher than $1.63 and only for a point there.
England v West Indies - 2nd ODI, lay England for 3pts at $1.55: Betfair.

Other than Dwayne Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Devon Smith is about the only other batsman who has looked the part at times during this tour. He has looked competent and confident and is more selective now than when he previously toured England. The 6/1 about him at BlueSq represents a smidge of value and I’d have him chalked at 11/2. I’d suggest half a point here but it’s not exactly exciting so feel free to have slightly less.
Devon Smith top West Indian Run Scorer, ½ pt at $7.00: BlueSq.
