The Lasseters – Punting Ace SMS Challenge

$70.00 is wagered per betting unit suggested on the popular and most successful Punting Ace SMS Service. Each ten week period any profit generated is distributed to a charity or cause. $50 per unit is contributed by Punting Ace and $20 per unit from a Punting Ace subscriber who wishes to remain anonymous. Each time the weekly profit hits 20 units, forum member ‘bochikawowow’ kindly contributes $50 and forum member ‘Gaza’ kindly contributes $100.

Leading Australian licensed bookmaker Lasseters Sports very kindly contribute 25% of any ten week profit, on top of what we have made through betting the selections. So for example if we made $5000 in a ten week period, Lasseters will donate 25% of that amount and the total becomes $6250.

Should a loss be returned in a ten week period, Punting Ace naturally absorbs that loss. Any loss isn't deducted from any profit generated through the $125,000 Charity Challenge. You can view the forum discussion thread along with the weekly profit/loss totals here.

The Punting Ace Sports SMS service is a paid subscription service established in early 2006. Subscribers receive between four to eight selections each week.

The $125,000 Charity Challenge

Punting Ace has put up a bank of $125,000.00. Any profits made will go towards a number of charities and worthy causes. Punting Ace is risking $125,000.00 by betting to win $2,500.00 on each suggested bet. Should the loss equal or exceed $125,000.00, the Challenge will be discontinued.

Punting Ace will choose one of their services or products to support each week betting to profit around $2,500.00 per play. So as not to disadvantage existng subscribers, Punting Ace won't bet in the lower liquidity markets. We will only place the wagers where the required bet won't move the market at all for subscribers.

In the interests of simplicity and transparency, we will bet to win $2,500.00 on each selection regardless of the ‘official’ staking suggestion. For example, if we choose the AFL model to support for one week, we will bet to profit $2,500.00 per selection regardless of the size of the overlay.

The only regular selections we will be supporting will be The Line From Lasseters selections. The bookmakers from Lasseters kindly send through generally two selections per week. You can view their current selections and past history here. If the market tipped is a low liquidity market and we can't get the money on without affecting others looking to get a bet on then we won't bet it.

At the end of each week we will table the results and announce the set of selections we will be supporting for the upcoming week.
