NBL Round 12
Brisbane v West Sydney
The reigning champions host the Razorbacks. Both teams will be looking to get back on track after they were both defeated in their last start.
The 7/8 man rotation that the Bullets have been using finally caught up with them last Sunday, losing in Singapore. They will be using a similar rotation again as Sam Mackinnon and Craig Bradshaw are still out injured (knee and ankle respectively). They beat Townsville at home 3 days before the Singapore loss.
The Razorbacks lost in Adelaide on Saturday after easily accounting for Singapore at home 3 days earlier. This week they replaced the injured Damian Martin (out for season, knee) with Josh Morgan. He is expected to assist import Darnell Hinson with the ball-carrying duties; I cannot see him contributing much more than this.
Both teams will be out to redeem themselves after their disappointing losses which should make this a good contest. Brisbane seem a little too short to me here. Having the short rotation seems like it could be starting to take its toll. I expect the Razorbacks to get a lot of their players to test out Bruton’s ankle and try to get their undermanned frontcourt in trouble. The points total looks a little high to me. There have been a lot of high scoring games of late. With these two teams being in the thick of it, a 250 would not surprise. I will not be getting involved here.
